Firefighters free children trapped in locked car outside school

Two children have been freed by firefighters after they became locked in a car.

Crews were called to Myddle Primary School, near Shrewsbury, shortly after 9.20am on Wednesday, where the youngsters found themselves stuck inside the vehicle.

Thankfully, they were freed and were "absolutely fine", according to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A spokesman said: "At 9.23am we received a call. Crews gained access to a car to release 2 children that had become locked in.

"One fire appliance was mobilised from Baschurch."
