Conditional discharge for man caught with Class B drugs in Shrewsbury

A man who was caught in possession of synthetic cannabinoids was given a conditional discharge when he appeared in court.

Pete Smith, aged 32, was caught in Shrewsbury on June 28 this year with almost 7g of the drug ADB-butinaca, a product intended for research and forensic applications.

Smith, of Stanley Close, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug at Telford Magistrates Court.

He was ordered to pay £185 in court costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
