Shrewsbury land sale campaigners to discuss fundraising ahead of Supreme Court battle
Campaigners against the controversial sale of land to housing developers are meeting on Wednesday to discuss funding their legal challenge.
The Greenfields Community Group will have their chance to have their case heard in the Supreme Court after a four-year battle over the sale of part of the Greenfields Recreation Ground in Shrewsbury.
The land was sold by Shrewsbury Town Council to CSE Developments, who bought it to build 15 homes.
The group has had to find money for its legal fees throughout the last four years.
The meeting will be held at Greenfields Church Hall at 7.30pm.
