Firefighters take burning tumble dryer out of Shrewsbury house to put it out
Fire crews took a burning tumble dryer out of a house and extinguished it after an emergency call in Shrewsbury.
One appliance was scrambled from Shrewsbury fire station to a house in Moston Road in the town after receiving reports of a house fire at 3.50pm.
When they got to the scene they found it was due to a tumble dryer on fire.
A fire service spokesman said: "Fire crews removed tumble dryer to outside and used one hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus, one covering jet and one thermal image camera."
There were no reports of the other emergency services being involved in the incident.
