Engineers at National Power say the properties involved were all in the Corndon Crescent area of the town.

The power company said the incident was reported at 8.33am on Thursday affecting 99 properties.

They restored all supplied in the area by 6.41pm and apologised for the inconvenience caused by the power cut.
