Car rolls over after hitting parked vehicle - shunting it into garden wall and gas pipe
A car ended upside down in the middle of the road after hitting a parked vehicle, shunting it into a garden wall and damaging a gas main.
Two people were taken to hospital after the crash on Welshpool Road in the Bicton Heath area of Shrewsbury at around 9.30pm on Friday.
It's understood that a Volkswagen hit a parked a Suzuki Celerio which was then pushed into the owner's garden wall, demolishing it and damaging the gas pipe.
The homeowner said he was in the back garden with his dogs when he heard an "almighty crunching of metal" before going out the front to see the damage.
He said another driver had stopped to help, adding: "The car rolled over and the girl was trying to get out of the passenger window. We made sure she was OK. The ambulance took her to hospital."
