Plans for adverts on prominent Shrewsbury roundabouts get the green light
Three prominent roundabouts will have advertising signs on them to try and boost a council's coffers.
Signs will be displayed at Frankwell, Heathgates and Hereford Road roundabouts in Shrewsbury after Shropshire Council's northern planning committee voted in favour of proposals.
It comes after Shrewsbury Town Council expressed opposition to add signs to the Frankwell island – one of the main points of entry for visitors to the town.
The authority also raised concern about the number of roundabouts in the town being used to sell advertising space.
