Lucky driver pulled to safety by Shropshire fire crews as car completely submerged in flood water
A lucky driver was rescued by firefighters from flood water near Shrewsbury early this morning.

Both the fire service and ambulance were called to a ford near Condover after a motorist got into difficulty, leaving the car nearly fully submerged.
The car was attempting to traverse the ford at Boreton Brook when the male driver got into difficulty.
The man was rescued by fire crews from Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Telford Central, the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
A spokesperson for the fire service said crews were called at around 7.30am on Monday to the incident.
The spokesperson added: “Crews from Red Shrewsbury have just rescued a male from flood water in Condover, please be aware of the dangers when near flood water.”
The West Midlands Ambulance Service said in a statement: "We were called by the fire service to Condover in Shrewsbury to assess a man who had been submerged in flood water. He was assessed and treated by ambulance staff before being conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further precautionary checks."
