Shrewsbury man to stand trial accused of dealing drugs while case against second man is dismissed

A Shrewsbury man accused of supplying cocaine and cannabis has been committed for trial but the case against his co-defendant has been dismissed.

Thomas Carser and Edward Stanton appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday, jointly accused of two charges each of supplying class A and class B drugs.

Both pleaded not guilty and prosecuting counsel said they would offer no evidence against Carser, aged 24 and of Whitchurch Road, Shrewsbury. The case against him was dismissed.
