The new award was launched this week for the person who has made an outstanding contribution to the Morville area over the last year.
The award is open to anyone living or working in the electoral parish of Morville, which includes the villages of Acton Round, Aston Eyre, Monkhopton and Upton Cressett.
Katie Briggs-Thomas, chair of the new award committee, said: "It will recognise people that have made an outstanding contribution to the local community through voluntary activities, helping others or by being an excellent role model.
“If you know anyone deserving of this accolade, please email morvillecommunityaward@gmail.com saying why they deserve it.”
Please mention if they are under 18. Entries close on April 30.
The award will be presented at Morville Village Hall on the evening of Monday, May 19.
