Man taken to hospital after bus runs over ankle in Much Wenlock
A man has been taken to hospital after a bus ran over his ankle in Much Wenlock.
It happened on the A458 at the junction for Stretton Road on Saturday afternoon as the man was getting of the bus.
PCSO Mal Goddard said: "A man getting off a bus had somehow had his ankle run over by the bus. Thankfully an off duty nurse in the area was able to look after the man until the arrival of the police and paramedics.
"Police are also very grateful to the members of the public who ensured that traffic was safely directed around the incident."
The road was not closed, but there were delays in the area as traffic had to be directed around the ambulance.
Within an hour, the paramedics had stabilised the casualties injury at the scene and he was then transported on to hospital for further treatment.
