Emergency crews rush to early hours crash on A49 in south Shropshire

Fire crews were sent to a road smash on the A49 in south Shropshire in the early hours of this morning.

The one-vehicle crash happened at Craven Arms at around 1.30am. Nobody was trapped in the vehicle and the ambulance service were not called out to the incident.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "At 1.39am on Sunday, December 18, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a road traffic collision had taken place in Craven Arms.

"one fire appliance was mobilised from Craven Arms. Crews used small tools to make the vehicle safe."
