He will join the team working alongside two PCSOs making use of the Craven Arms Community Centre on a daily basis.

PC King-Salter said: “I am thrilled to be back at West Mercia Police, and I am excited to start working on the local policing priorities in partnership with my town and parish councils here in Craven Arms, and the surrounding areas.

“I hope to become that friendly reassuring face that people feel comfortable to come and speak to about whatever they wish and being someone the community feel safe to turn to in a time of need.”

Inspector for the SNT, Damien Kelly, added: “It is a real pleasure to reintroduce the SNO for Craven Arms and its surrounding parishes, which I know will have a comforting impact in such a rural area.

“PC King-Salter, who has over 15 years of policing experience and will be dedicated to his area along with two PCSOs, Lisa Thomas and Jay Rees.”

The Craven Arms Safer Neighbourhood Team remains steadfast in their mission to build a safe and secure community, dedicated to Craven Arms and the surrounding parishes.

The SNT plays a crucial role in fostering community engagement, resolving local issues, and providing public reassurance. In addition to their responsibilities, they collaborate with officers in West Mercia Police's patrol, investigation, problem-solving and specially trained Rural and Business Crime Officers to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our communities.

Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion said: “SNOs play a vital role in engaging with local communities ensuring your concerns are heard, listened to and acted on.

“As your voice in policing, I know you want police officers to be evermore visible and accessible in Craven Arms and the surrounding parishes. With record numbers of officers in West Mercia, I have delivered on your calls so it’s right that you feel and see the benefits of this increase.”
