A49 closed after serious crash leaves one person injured
A person was injured and a major road through the county has been closed after a crash between a motorbike and car near Ludlow this morning.
An ambulance, police officers and fire crews were sent to the A49 at Woofferton at around 11.56am, near the The Salwey Arms, to reports of a collision.
Paramedics treated one person, while firefighters from Ludlow were sent to make the area safe.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
The A49 was expected to remain shut throughout the afternoon after police closed the road while accident investigators examine the scene.
The road was shut in both directions between the A4117 and A456.
