Severn Trent said its teams have identified that the cause of supply issues is a burst pipe on Huntingdon Lane.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We’re really sorry to customers experiencing supply issues in the Ludlow area as our teams work to repair a burst pipe on Huntingdon Lane.

“Our engineers are on site and we also have tankers in the area to inject into the network to get as many properties back on supply as soon as possible.

“To allow our teams to repair the pipe safely, and to keep everyone else safe, Huntingdon Lane will remain closed as we work in the area.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and disruption this has caused, and it is our priority to get everyone’s supply restored, get the pipe repaired, and re-open Huntingdon Lane as quickly and as safely as possible.”

Early assessments that the problem would be fixed by noon proved to be an under-estimate. The teams on site say this is because of complications. The problem has now been estimated to be fixed by 4pm.
