Ludlow Town Council set to try crowdfunding campaign to buy new Christmas lights
A crowdfunding campaign is set to be launched to raise £10,000 for new Christmas lights in Ludlow.
The town's council carried out a public consultation earlier this year which confirmed that the lights are important to the residents and businesses of the area.
Officials even received an informal offer to fund the Christmas tree and new lights from some local businesses and the town council is keen to formalise the offer and accept it, councillors are set to hear on Monday.
A report to Monday's meeting of the town council reads: "The town council has openly shared details of its existing budget, and that it needs financial help to improve Ludlow's lights.
