AFC Telford vice chairman Win Pryce dies

Tributes have been paid to the vice chairman of AFC Telford United Win Pryce.

Th club announced that Win Pryce, who had been in the role at the club since its formation in 2004, had died this morning.

Directors paid tribute to a "family man", and those who knew him took to social media to share their memories of a true "gentleman".

Ian Dosser, the team's managing director, said: "Win was a wonderful friend and colleague to all of us for the 13 years that I knew him and we will all miss him hugely.

"It was an immense pleasure to work with Win. He was a great family man and always put himself out to help the club, his friends and anyone who knew him.

"Win put massive time and effort into the football club and the club wouldn’t be what it is today without him."

Liam Watson, former manager at the club, tweeted: "Devastated with the news from Telford United re Win Pryce. Thoughts with Andy, Rose and family. A gentleman who was an immense individual who put his heart and soul and money into the football club and the community.

"Without Win there would not be a football club – 100 per cent fact."

Brian Andrews-Rowley said: "Condolences to his family, friends and fellow clubmates.

"Non-league football wouldn't exist were it not for tireless volunteers like Win.

"Rest in peace from everyone at Bromsgrove Sporting FC."
