Telford petrol station closed after car crashes into pillar
A Telford petrol station was shut this afternoon after a car crashed into one of the pillars holding up the canopy.
The Tesco petrol station at the Wrekin Retail Park was turning away customers until an engineer could check the structure was safe.
Staff said they were unsure when it might reopen.
They said nobody had been injured in the crash, which happened earlier this afternoon.
Cones were put across the entrance to the petrol station, and members of staff were on hand to move people along.
