Injuries of man who fell onto A442 in Telford not life-threatening

The injuries of a man who fell from a bridge onto a busy Telford road are not life-threatening, police said today.

The man was taken to hospital on Thursday after being treated for injuries on the A442 through Telford, between Hollinswood and Randley.

The road - known as the Eastern Primary or EP - had to be closed, leaving motorists facing up to an hour of delays during rush hour.

Emergency services were sent to the area at about 7.45am and an air ambulance was sent to the scene.
