Three men were arrested on suspicion of robbery, theft and burglary during the raid in Charlecote Park, Overdale, at 9am.

As well as the weapons and drugs, police recovered a collection of distinctive collectable Eddie Stobart lorries, commemorative coins relating to historic events in purpose-made wooden boxes and a collection of pocket watches. There was also a set of die cast Batmobile models found.

Sergeant Lee Medlam, of West Mercia's local policing priority team, said: "We gained entry and arrested three males. A search was conducted which resulted in the exhibits being seized. They are believed to be from burglaries from across the Telford area.

"The collection is probably worth more for the owner than to be sold.

"Investigations are ongoing and we'd like the owner to come back to us."

Anybody with information about the owner of the collection is asked to call 101, asking for the priority team.
