Walkers raise Parkinson's awareness

Walkers from Telford Centre Rotary Club and Telford & Wrekin branch of Parkinson’s UK – plus Molly the dog – have staged a "walk through the park" event for Parkinson's Awareness Week.

Over a number of years walkers from Telford and further afield have followed the bench trail around Little Wenlock, but this year followed a new route, starting at the Ramada Hotel in Telford town centre, and going through Telford town park and then on to the All Nations real ale pub at Madeley.

The small group was waved off by the Mayor of Telford, Raj Mehta.

Following a pub lunch the walkers returned to the Ramada for afternoon tea where they were joined by other Rotarians and members of the Parkinson's group.

The walk was to raise awareness, and was not a fundraising effort.
