Today members of the victim's family have asked that anybody with any information come forward as soon as possible.

Mr Younas called on anybody who was in the area at the time to get in touch with the police, no matter how small their contribution to the investigation might be.

"We need the public to help bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible," he said. "Anything big or small, please contact the police. This could have been anybody's son."
