Police close road after man falls from bridge in Telford
A man has fallen from a bridge onto a busy road in Telford.
The incident happened at the Stirchley Interchange on the A442 in Telford.
It is not yet known how serious the man's injuries are.
It is expected that the road will be closed for a long time while emergency services work at the scene.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Road closure. We’re currently dealing with an incident on Stirchley Interchange on the A442 in Telford.
"Earlier this afternoon a man fell from the bridge on to the road, the road is currently closed while emergency services deal with the incident."
Newport Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "We are currently assisting Telford Police and Operational Patrol Unit Shropshire colleagues with a serious incident on the A442/EP/Queensway at Stirchley Interchange.
"Road will be closed for some time - diversions in place."
