Disqualified Telford driver given unpaid work after being caught behind the wheel

A banned driver who was caught behind the wheel has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Steven Gwilliam, aged 39, was caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Bora near his home in Telford on January 24 this year.

Gwilliam, of Beaconsfield, Brookside, Telford, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court.

He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and his ban was extended to 40 months.
