'We're all terrified': Telford pensioners crying out for a new landlord over a year after firm collapsed into administration
Elderly residents of park homes in Telford are crying out for a new owner to buy the site after spending more than a year with the business in administration.
Breton Park Residential Homes crashed into administration on July 27, 2022, with outstanding creditor claims of nearly £3 million, according to official documents filed with Companies House.
Christine Lawrie, chairman of the Breton Park Residents Association, in Muxton, said: "We are all pensioners and feel completely abandoned. There has been no buyer in more than a year and we don't know what will happen.
"The average age of people on the park is the high 70s. We are all pensioners and we're all terrified."
Mrs Lawrie said the park which contains 92 homes, is badly in need of site maintenance. with a big water leak, overgrown foliage and poorly maintained buildings and infrastructure being local issues.
She said they have had to push hard for things to be done.
