Fire ravages 500 square metres of woodland in Shifnal

A fire ravaged 500 square metres of woodland in Shifnal yesterday.

Crews were called to Shifnal Manor Barns shortly after 5pm to reports of fire in the open.

One fire engine was sent from Wellington station and crews used buckets of water, shovels and water from the incident support unit to tackle to blaze.

They left the scene at 6.15pm.
