After 40 years in business, Stubley's Furniture on Church Street is closing down and the for sale signs have gone up.
Owner, Mark Stubley, took to social media to make the announcement and thank customers for their support over the last four decades.
He wrote: "The time has come to close our doors. Owning the business and working here in Wellington has always been an absolute privilege, but now is the time for retirement.
"I would like to thank you all for your loyalty, support and custom over the years. It has really been appreciated."
The premises, which is opposite All Saints Church in the town centre, is currently being listed for sale by Halls Commercial for offers in the region of £179,000.
It consists of an attached part two- and part single-storey property that is currently being used as a showroom, but the agents say it "would lend itself to a variety of potential commercial uses".
The listing is available to view online at zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/commercial/details/69138252.
