Toyota set to reveal its third battery-electric model next month
The new car will sit alongside the bZ4X and recently revealed Urban Cruiser in the firm’s BEV line-up.

Toyota has teased an image of its third battery-electric model, which is being revealed on March 11.
Details at this stage are limited, but the model will sit alongside the larger bZ4X SUV and smaller Urban Cruiser crossover in the firm’s BEV model line-up.
From the image, the car’s exterior design features a coupe-esque roofline on top of a jacked-up SUV bodystyle. Other design cues of the car seem to show hidden rear door handles, giving the side profile a sportier and sleeker design.
Details on its powertrain and battery pack are yet to be revealed and there are no images of its interior at this stage.
Toyota claims this new electric model’s development is “inspired by Toyota’s heritage of creating products that have strong emotional appeal and give wider choice to customers”.
The firm’s two other electric models are built in collaboration with other Japanese car firms. The bZ4X is in partnership with Subaru with its Solterra and the new Urban Cruiser is built in conjunction with Suzuki and its e-Vitara.
This new electric Toyota will be revealed on March 11 – with further details to be announced shortly after.
