Shrewsbury's Copthorne Barracks and Dana Prison plans approved - as it happened
Two major Shrewsbury planning applications were passed by councillors this afternoon.
Shropshire Council's central planning committee unanimously backed proposals to renovate The Dana Prison site as student flats, as a second application came before councillors which they felt addressed previous concerns. Another proposal, to build more than 220 homes on Copthorne Barracks, was also passed. Both applications had been recommended for approval.
