Applicants Richard and Clare Maddicott have applied to Shropshire Council for permission to build the homes in the grounds of Grade II listed Foldgate Farm.

The homes would be three or four bedroom properties, two of which would have balconies looking towards the Mortimer Forest.

Planning permission has already been granted for 137 homes to be built by developer Crest Nicholson on nearby land.

The matter will now be considered by members of the council's planning department at a date to be set.
