Residents at Taylor Wimpey's big Sutton Grange development in Shrewsbury say they have been waiting in vain for a play park that was promised years ago.

Liberal Democrat campaigner Victoria Moore, 35, who lived on the estate off Oteley Road but moved out recently, said: "We moved at the end of last year after three-and-a-half years at the first phase of estate.

"We moved in with our two children because they promised a play park.

"Our children are now aged six and 11 and are on their way to becoming adults and moving out of home."

Mrs Moore said roads have not been finished or adopted by the council, footpaths are uneven and there are missing street signs.
