Police officer collapses and carried away on stretcher during Queen's funeral

A police officer has reportedly fainted whilst on duty for the Queen's funeral, and had to be carried away on a stretcher.

The Metropolitan officer collapsed shortly before the procession walked down the Mall.

He is said to have fallen forward near Parliament square.

Pictures circulating social media show members of the Royal Navy carrying the man away on a stretcher minutes before the Queen's coffin came through.

The condition of the man is unconfirmed although it is believed not to be serious.

He reportedly collapsed whilst on duty around 10.30am
