M54 crash causes long rush-hour delays
Drivers on the M54 faced long delays this evening after a crash during rush hour.
Motorists heading towards Shropshire were held up for more than 50 minutes after the smash, which happened between Junction 2 for Wolverhampton and Junction 3 for Cosford.
Traffic was backed up towards the M6 as a result, while police, ambulance crews and Highways officers attended the scene.
The crash happened in the westbound carriageway at around 5.30pm but traffic was delayed until around 7pm, with one lane closed for around half an hour.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
