Letter - Crazy cost of parking in Shrewsbury
Shropshire Council preside over a postcode lottery, regarding parking charges.

In SY11 you pay less, in SY1 you get hammered.
I park on a yellow line as they don't apply on Sundays. £2 or so per hour to park in the week is crazy and unaffordable.
I object to paying for car parks we have paid for many times over, so I don't bother going to Shrewsbury.
I shop at Lidl or Tesco where I can park for free, or at the nice shops in Oswestry (much cheaper to park there) and the rest online.
Really sorry, Shrewsbury shopkeepers but it's the council's fault for extortionate unaffordable and unjustified pricing and, until they make their rip-off prices cheaper, I'm not coming back.
