Letter: Leading politicians too patronising
Have our leading politicians lost their way? Have they become so shallow that they believe in nothing and stand for nothing?

Is leading a government or a political party just a cover? Have they lost honesty, passion and conviction?
You have Nick Clegg, the Lib Dem leader, in doing a botched apology over tuition fees which you promised you would never do. He urges his party activists to call for tax on the wealthy yet in government he supports tax cuts for the rich.
You have David Cameron in failing to keep your election pledge on funding the NHS in full. These modern politicians are often patronising and condescending.
The word sorry seems to mean nothing.
