Letter: The public wants out of the EU

Well, it looks like the circus has come to town. The fact that David Cameron and his upper-crust cronies have labelled Ukip candidates 'clowns and fruitcakes' has come back to haunt them in a big big way.

The British voters have had a skinfull of the liars from the big three parties who, for so long, have ruled the nation, promised a lot but never delivered once they gain power.

And one topic that keeps raises its head – the EU. David Cameron is running scared. He now understands he can no longer sit in his ivory tower thinking the voters will forgive and forget – they won't.

All of a sudden the PM appears to want a referendum on the EU put in law.

Why does he want this now? Because in this week's council elections, Ukip candidates have gained 23 per cent of votes.

This is a clear indication that the British public want out of the EU, want a stop to mass immigration and want a party that will give us this – and it has shown in the ballot box. Enough is enough.
