Letter: New knock in job hunt
I have just been to the Job Centre in Telford. A notice at the front declared: "Our aim is to help you into work". Another notice further in declared: "All public access phones are in the process of being removed from this office".

When I asked who had taken this decision, I was told that it was a nationwide policy.
There are many people in such desperate straits in this country now.
What benefits there are barely cover the costs of heating and eating. This means that daily use of a phone or computer becomes an unaffordable luxury.
The effect of this decision can only be to make people's lives yet more difficult than they already are.
