Letter: Shropshire becoming a rubbish dump

Has anyone else noticed that our beautiful county is slowly looking like a rubbish dump?

Travel around the county and all the hedgerows are full of rubbish.

On the outer ring road around Shrewsbury A5 north and the road from the Preston Island to the Haughmond Hill roundabout, the sides of the road are a disgrace.

Perhaps the service that uses the yellow tape tangled in the hedge by the bridge over the river can go and pick up their trash.

Over a year ago an accident occurred on the bends between Dorrington and the turn for Condover Golf Course. Perhaps the police would go back and pick up their tape that is still littering the grass verge.

When we hear that criminals are handed out community service perhaps they should be dressed in orange overalls and, of course, a hi-vis jacket, oh yes and safety glasses and gloves and be made to do the community some good.

Come on Shropshire Council, sort out our verges or have we got to wait until the flower show?
