Letter: V Festival is a huge boost to economy
I write with reference to your article of August 28 "Aftermath of V Festival reveals giant blot on the landscape" featuring an aerial shot of Weston Park following this year's V Festival. I feel there is a need to explain a little more about the relationship between the two.
Weston Park is one of the most significant venues in the region with the V Festival's economic impact on Shropshire/Staffordshire of over £10 million alone.
For any readers who wish to see how well our post-events plans are put into action, I share this picture of the grounds. Within a very short time the grassland on which the festival is hosted is returning to normal.
And I would welcome readers to see for themselves at another national event that makes Weston its home, the Midland Game Fair, on Saturday and Sunday.
