Letter: Fracking is rural threat

This is a copy of an email sent to Owen Paterson.

The Shropshire Star headline said: "Shropshire MP Owen Paterson: Jobs at risk if fracking banned". Jobs that weren't there before the dirty people of the energy market came on the scene.

But you should be aware that if the mythical jobs are at risk so is your village transport network if fracking comes anywhere near my home.

A straw poll recently showed that if I was to retire then no-one would be willing to take on the task and consequently all village transport in your constituency would cease.

I would find the risk to my private water supply so unacceptable that I can assure you I would leave for a happy retirement in France.

After France banned fracking, Bulgaria followed suit in 2012, becoming the second European country to ban this dirty practice.

Please note well – this is a dirty practice.
