Letter: Pokemon good exercise

You are right to point out the potential risks of Pokémon Go to its users (leader column, July 27). But we should not ignore the health benefits of this game.

Nearly one in five of youngsters in Shropshire are clinically obese. Others are overweight. Chasing Pokémons is good exercise. It gets people out and about, stretching their legs and filling their lungs with fresh air.

Playing Pokémon Go must be better than sitting down staring at a screen all day.

How long will it be before Pokémon Go becomes an Olympic sport?
