Leave Shrewsbury Flower Show alone

I am both appalled and incensed by the suggestion that Shrewsbury Flower Show should be removed from The Quarry.

Shrewsbury Flower Show 2017 firework display

The show has been held in Shrewsbury longer than anyone has lived in the town.

That the complaints of a small handful of people should spoil the pleasure of countless thousands who attend the show every year is again the case of a small minority dictating to the vast majority, or has the council got a hidden agenda here?

The fun of going to Beck’s fields to watch the fireworks was removed because of one tragic accident which I also remember.

Is the council going to remove the show because half a dozen people don’t like the noise?

Tell them to do as the Londoners were told during the Olympics, leave town.

I am Shrewsbury born and bred and I say leave our flower show alone.
