I HAVE COME TO HATE MY TOWN
I witnessed a vagrant/drug addict being arrested in Pride Hill for stealing and anti social behaviour. Shrewsbury has become a dumping ground for such people who are consistently causing trouble.
I have lived in the town centre for 15 years and have come to hate it. It has a horrible atmosphere! I would love to, if I had the money to do so, move to another town where the local council actually cares for its inhabitants!

CELEBRATION WAS NOT APPROPRIATE
I saw a television news report on Parliament's vote on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, aka the assisted dying bill. The reporter told us the result of the vote was received solemnly by the mass of MPs who, unusually, found themselves in the House on a Friday.
That was on screen for all to see. Outside, however, there was a small but vociferous crowd whooping and cheering, proclaiming victory.
Was this really a moment for celebration?
