INVASION OF FANS WAS JUST IDIOTIC

Whose idiotic decision was it to allow up to 1,500 Djurgarden football supporters to roam through Shrewsbury town before the evening match at Croud Meadow? Even good natured chanting can be intimidating. 

Whilst it seems most were well behaved, the behaviour of some of their supporters at the ground was evidence that this decision was the wrong one and could have led to all sorts of problems in the town centre had it not been for such a large police presence.

The interview with the council and BID extolling the wonderful atmosphere the supporters created was misleading to say the least. Would the names of the chief inspector, council leader, and BID director be made known to us, as I feel a potential disaster was narrowly avoided. Such decisions need to be discussed fully in future.

One question springs to mind – where do all the policemen go when there is not a football match on?
