The consultation for North West Relief Road in Shrewsbury

PUZZLED BY VIEW OF CAMPAIGNERS

How many more times have we to suffer the pontifications of Better Transport Shrewsbury? I have read it's article "What’s wrong with the North West road” and can only conclude that the members have come up with a script for their leader to appear on 'Live at the Apollo!'.

I don't doubt that they mean well but please, have some consideration for the motorist who needs many more roads to be constructed to enable safe travel and the NWRR is just one of them. The fact that it is estimated to cost far more now than originally stated is very much down to the continual delaying tactics that are dreamed up.

Reading BeST's objections to this proposed new build leads me to believe that the organisations that make up this group are not motorists themselves and have never been caught up in the terrible traffic congestion not only in Shrewsbury but all across the country. It is worth noting that if the road produces an extra 48,000 tonnes of carbon emissions as BeST states it will have done others a favour by removing it from elsewhere!

WHY ARE CATS ALLOWED TO POO?

If a person defecated in my road I’m sure I could report this to the police and if a person walking a dog allowed the dog to poo on the pavement I could report this.
