NEWTON'S LAW HAS AN IMPACT

It is unlikely that our present Government has heard of Newton’s third law, “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”.

So many needy people have lost out on the winter fuel payment that any probable savings are going to be swallowed up by the health systems additional expenditure in caring for so many more people requiring the services of the NHS.

Then there is the tax on private schools which will almost certainly result in state schools being inundated with all those pupils unable to afford private education who will need to be found places in the state system.

The increase in NI contributions on employers is almost certainly going to result in companies trying to reduce this extra burden by reducing work forces, thus forcing employees to seek help from an already overwhelmed benefits system.
