Shropshire's golfers in Midlands League defeat

Shropshire & Herefordshire's golfers suffered the first defeat of their Midlands League campaign.

A side depleted by unavailability were beaten 8.5-6.5 by Staffordshire at Wolstanton yesterday.

S & H were in contention after halving the morning foursomes 2.5-2.5.

But they lost the afternoon singles 6-4 to leave John McQuillan's side with a record of one win and one defeat from their two games so far.
