S&H took victory at Wollaton Park Golf Club despite drawing the afternoon singles games 5-5, having won 3½ to 1½ in the morning foursomes.
Harry Burt had to pull it out of the bag in the sixth singles game as he was four shots down with five left to play, completing the fight-back by winning his match one-up.
S&H's second-team completed their Midlands Second League campaign with defeat at the hands of their Nottinghamshire counterparts at Shifnal.
Nottinghamshire won the title in Shropshire after leading 3-2 from the morning foursomes, running out 7-5 winners after the afternoon singles.
