Euro call for Shropshire golfer Ashley Chesters

Hakwestone Park's European Amateur golf champion Ashley Chesters has been selected to represent Europe against Asia/Pacific in the Sir Michael Bonallack Trophy.

Chesters, who won his title in Spain last summer, has been picked for the 12-strong side who will be seeking a fourth successive win in the biennial event at the Karnataka Golf Association course in Bangalore, India on March 26-28. Chesters, who also recently finished tied fifth in the Portuguese Amateur Championships, is one of five Great Britain and Ireland players.
