GB & Ireland Call-up for Shropshire golfer Ashley Chesters
Shropshire's reigning two-time European Amateur golf champion Ashley Chesters has been named in the nine-man Great Britain & Ireland squad which will contest the St Andrews Trophy.

Chesters, of Hawkstone Park, was picked in the nine-man team which will take on the rest of Europe in Sweden on August 29-30.
He had a debut to remember as a qualifier at The Open Championship last month. He missed the cut by one shot – had he completed the full four rounds, he would have scooped the prize for top amateur.
